This week, we welcomed our second daughter, Emery Fraser Powell, into this side of life! Our hospital experience was tremendous, and we couldn’t have asked for better care than we received this time around. Comparing it to our last experience, it was vastly improved, more personal, more empathetic, and noticeably more comfortable.
Had we not had such a poor experience with our first birth, we never would have appreciated the differences and improvements of this new environment.
It’s amazing how the bad, enhances and informs the good! Without poor experiences to serve as comparison, great experiences would instead seem “normal.”
